Privacy policy

Where your memories live, how sync works, and how you can manage your data.

Last updated: September 14, 2026

What you save

Calendays stores the moments, daily and monthly journals, mentioned people, categories, moods, sleep, and indicators you enter, along with settings needed to run the app.

On your device

Content is stored in a local database on your device. Calendar and journal features work offline. You do not need a Calendays account to use them.

iCloud, only if you enable it

When you enable sync, content is sent to the private database in your iCloud account so it is available on your devices. Calendays does not host this content on its own servers. iCloud is also subject to Apple’s terms and privacy policy.

Data protection

Calendays does not add its own encryption layer to the local database or sync. Local protection depends on your device and its security settings; sync benefits from iCloud’s protections.

System calendars

On Mac, calendar access requires your permission. Events are read from the system and are not saved in the Calendays database. If you create a moment from an event, the copied information becomes part of your content.

Backups, export, and deletion

Automatic local backups are optional. You can export data as JSON, reimport it, and delete it in settings. Deletions may propagate to synced devices. Existing exports and backups remain separate files: delete them wherever you keep them.

This website

This website contains no audience analytics tool or advertising tracker. Fonts are served with the website. Demo memories are fictional, and clicking the demo does not create a personal journal. App Store links open an Apple service.
